I am available to help you in many capacities: I teach, promote, do various kinds of writing, networking and community creation.  As a descendant of the Cherokee nation and an early colonial family of Maryland, as a Buddhist and a champion of tolerance, and as the first woman in my mother's family to receive a higher education let alone a doctorate, I am committed to the ideals of community building, kindness, courage and honesty.  I welcome your inquiries as to how I may be of service to you...

I provide business services which are located at my website www.crockettcreative.com and I am developing a local food hub for SLO county at www.slocavore.com  Additionally, I continue my business services affiliation with Dr. M.A. Greenstein and The Greenstein Group as a consultant and with the George Greenstein's Institute as a member of their Brain Trust.  The Greenstein Institute also seeks to formulate community around educational and transformative healing practices that honor the brain/body/breath connection in both ancient and cutting edge ways.

I act as a sounding board and advisor, and help people to take the next steps in their various projects.  Often this involves making various contacts or referrals, introducing them to others whom I know are working on similar endeavors or whom I know can provide them with the services they need for the next phase of their operation.  Please see the testimonials at my Crockett Creative site to learn more.

I recently spoke at the Institute of Philosophy and the Arts in Pasadena about the power of spirit and community, with special guest and spiritual teacher Hua Anwa.  I plan to offer some podcast excerpts of that event and similar talks soon.  Community building has taken a stronger and stronger role in my recent activities, and as noted elsewhere on this site, I am co-authoring several book projects focused on creative community building tools.

I am also teaching a movement class called "Open Body" which fosters intimacy and connection within groups, because theory and practice are not the same thing.  Sometimes we truly need more than mere conversation about making connections - we actually need to connect! Open Body facilitates that in a safe and fun environment of play and mutual appreciation.

It is my belief that when we create sacred space and hold a place for each and every voice to be heard, transformation takes place, with new bonds formed as we allow everyone a place of respect, witness and honor.  Let us build a better world together.
