Note from Tobey for 2012:
I am so happy that we are finally in a new year! 2011 was such a challenge - but we're feeling much more optimistic about 2012.
My life is going more and more in a spiritual direction, which really surprises me on some level as I was never such an "airy fairy" kind of person, yet here I am. Hahahahahaha... it feels good and right is all I can say. I love sharing my love and energy with people and it seems to help them, and that is a wonderful thing to experience. I find that compassion drives more and more of my choices, even as I continue to be highly pragmatic.
I will be adding a number of blogs this year, so please sign up so you can stay posted. I have one that is called White Heart News, which just like it says, is about my offerings as a spiritually oriented business coach & guidance counselor. The second blog White Heart Wisdom offers inspirations and interesting tidbits from around the web. FEBRUARY 2012
I will be launching my new practice at the Amethyst Healing Center on Main St in the West Village of Cambria on Saturday February 4th. I will be offering White Heart readings, soul-inflected business & life coaching, website and marketing for those in the healing/energetic professions, qi gong movement on some mornings and also organizing a program of lectures, interviews and panel discussions with those relevant to the healing, creative and spiritual communities. In conjunction with this new move, I have launched a blog called White Heart News and a new site (in progress) where folks can download MP3's of all the programs I will be organizing. Be sure to look for news of the official launch of the 7 Sisters Healing Network this spring!
Saturday February 18th, at noon is the next Sweat Lodge with our Clan Mother Hua Anwa and I encourage you to come and get a good cleansing on. Sweats are so goood for you!
Tuesday February 21st at 4 pm, I am organizing a special Ocean Ceremony, a gathering to welcome and honor the return of the Rains, the Salmon, the Steelhead Trout and the Whales. This will take place at Moonstone Beach, where the Santa Rosa Creek meets the sea. See our invite for more details.
Saturday February 26th, I will be attending another beautiful Mayan Fire Ceremony in the Santa Ynez Valley. Click here to learn more about these Sacred Fire events in general or how you can attend this special event in particular.
MARCH
On March 9th - 11th, sisters from Circles of Empowerment will bring calla lilies for the altar and attend the 2012 Mexica New Year celebration in San Jose. This year will be held at a new location, TBA but we are very excited to attend and support our familia in La Danza. You are welcome to join us on this very special road trip. Contact Hua or I for details.
APRIL
My first Full Moon Ceremony of this year will be held in April - location TBA. During this month, I will already be in preparations for my third Vision Quest. I have committed to four. This one will be my West direction. Prayers, blessings and support are always welcome. Details TBA.
MAY
I will perform my third Vision Quest, and towards the end of the month, Hua and I and many others will attend the Gathering of 1,000 Hummingbirds, sponsored by our amazing sisters of the Ohlone nation.
JUNE
In late June, we will be hosting our second annual Spirit Dance. This is a family style Long Dance, open to men, women & children. The dates are June 30th - July 1st.
AUGUST
August 10-13th will see the 7th Annual Wisdom Keepers and Youth Fire Council at Deer Mountain hosted by the amazing organization Earth Peoples United. We love this community and look forward to our ongoing connections with them.
SEPTEMBER
September 2oth - 23rd, I will attend the 22nd Annual Long Dance hosted by Circles of Empowerment near Lopez Lake in Arroyo Grande. Please join us! You can attend as a dancer, as a member of Thunder Lodge or simply come as part of the community.
Attend a concert, be part of the Sacred Pipe Ceremony and teachings, or help us with building the Village, or Take Down Lodge, taking down and putting away the tipis and so on after we spend four days in prayer for our community and the planet. We could use some help!
The following weekend is the 75th Annual Harvest Festival in the Village of Arroyo Grande and that will be a lot of fun too!
NOVEMBER
We will be hosting our second annual Day of the Dead celebration, with a sacred altar, sugar skulls and all the trimmings for our beloved ancestors.
